Our top 3 favourite clean beauty brands

Our top 3 favourite clean beauty brands

It’s official—clean beauty is here to stay.

What started as a very niche trend has turned into a full blown movement in the beauty industry. More and more, people are becoming conscious of the products they are putting on their skin and because of this, there has been a huge increase in clean beauty brands worldwide. Let’s just say we’re also slightly obsessed with clean beauty here at Sampler HQ, so we decided to do a quick appreciation post to highlight our of our top 3 favourite brands.

RMS Beauty

RMS Beauty's Lip2Cheek pots

RMS Beauty is an organic makeup and skincare line founded by makeup artist, Rose-Marie Swift. After experiencing major health issues, Swift made the decision to start her own clean beauty line. RMS is known for their “natural looking” products specifically their Living Luminizer and Lip2Cheek pots and it’s become a brand fave for celebrities like Gisele Bundchen, Miranda Kerr, Emma Watson, and Celine Dion.

I personally use and absolutely love their Living Luminizer highlighter! It gives the right amount of dew and glow without any glitter. I also have super sensitive skin, so this product is perfect for me. :)

Bite Beauty

Bite Beauty's Lip Lab in Toronto

A Canadian favourite (emphasis on the u in favourite), Bite Beauty offers a wide range of lip products from lipsticks, glosses, and pencils to lip care products like masks and scrubs. As stated on their website, “Bite Beauty was founded on a simple premise: what you put on your lips should be as good as what you put in your mouth”. All of their products are made with food-grade ingredients meaning you could actually eat any of their products if you really wanted to.

Bite Beauty is exclusively sold at Sephora but they also have what they call “Lip Labs” where you can create custom lipsticks that are made to order. Their “retail beauty experience” as they call it can be found in San Francisco, LA, New York, and our favourite city, Toronto and you can customize the colour, flavour, finish and even the name of your lipstick.

Our Director of Marketing, Kelly is absolutely OBSESSED with Bite Beauty products and has actually visited their Toronto Lip Lab where she’s created her own custom lipsticks. Her favourite products are:

Agave Lip Mask in Smashed: “I can’t get enough of this stuff! I’ve tried everything on the market to help my chapped lips, and this is by far the best I’ve found. It’ll keep your lips hydrated for hours AND it adds a little colour.”

Outburst Longwear Lip Stain in Strawberry Frozé: “I’ve always been a huge fan of major lip colour with minor effort. Lip stains are so great for that because you can apply it first thing in the morning and it lasts all day! Pro tip: Add a swipe of the Agave Lip Mask over top of the stain for a little extra hydration.”

Olio E Osso

Olio E Osso Balms

What started as Olio E Osso’s owner and founder, Paola LaMorticella’s search to find products that didn’t irritate her baby’s skin turned into a journey of creating her own balm made with all natural ingredients. After the formula she created actually healed her son’s skin, Olio E Osso was created.

Olio E Osso is a line of skincare products and balms which naturally support the skin. Their most popular product is their Olio E Osso Balm which is a multipurpose product for the lips, cheeks, and for their non-tinted balms, the hair as well. Their tinted balms come in 9 different shades and is a celebrity favourite by the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Sofia Coppola.

Their Balm No. 8 is without a doubt my holy grail lip and cheek product. I’m on my second tube and it’s legitimately the first lip product I have actually finished and repurchased (and that’s saying A LOT).

So there you have it—our top 3 favourite clean beauty brands. We are so excited with where clean beauty and even clean products are headed and knowing us, we’ll definitely be on the lookout for other upcoming brands so stay tuned for more posts. If you loved this article, make sure to share it! ;)
